Rev. Herbert Binyi: “We Must Preach Until Many Are Won to Christ”
Rev. Herbert, Assistant Reverend at St. Luke’s Church of Uganda, shared his heart and passion during the Jesus March held as part of the Mukono Easter Mission. For him, participating in this mission is deeply rooted in both scripture and a sense of duty to Christ.
“We are marching to raise awareness about Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, which we will celebrate on Palm Sunday,” he said. “This march is a build-up to that as a way of reminding people about who Jesus is, why He came, and the great love He showed by offering Himself as a living sacrifice for our sins. This is also showing people that they should participate in the mission.”
Rev. Herbert emphasized that the mission is not just about the march but about preaching the Gospel to the people and calling them to remember Jesus’ sacrifice and to turn their hearts to Him.

He also expressed deep gratitude for the partnership with African Evangelistic Enterprise (AEE), which has played a vital role in facilitating the mission. “We appreciate AEE so much,” he said. “Their initiative has enabled us to reach out to many people in schools, communities, and through unique outreaches like the bringing boda bodas together. It’s a great opportunity to work together.”
He added that, “Whatever we do, our major effort is to reach out to people and lead them to Christ. It would be tragic for us especially those called to preach or those who can support missions to stand before God having failed to act when we had the chance.”
He urged every believer, whether preacher or supporter, to take their part seriously. “Whatever support you can offer, use it to spread the Gospel. Our goal is to win as many people as possible to Christ.”
“My prayer is that the Gospel would be preached to everyone. That through our deeds, our giving, and our work, many would come to know Christ. My deepest desire is to bring very many people to Him.”
