Impactful Church Ministry during Soroti Mission

Today, the Soroti City Mission focused entirely on church ministry, reaching out to congregations across 12 different churches in the city area. A dedicated team of 36 missionaries actively participated in these services, delivering messages centered around the mission theme, “Come, Find Rest in Jesus Christ.” taken from Matthew 11:28-29.

The response to today’s ministry was truly inspiring. 13 individuals made the life-changing decision to give their lives to Christ, showing a connection to the message of the Gospel. Each new believer is a testimony to God’s grace and the effectiveness of the mission’s outreach efforts.

In addition to the lives transformed within the churches, the team successfully reached a remarkable 8,135 people with the Gospel message through various outreach activities. This broad reach shows the dedication and passion of the missioners to share the love and peace of Christ with as many people as possible.

Looking ahead, the Soroti City Mission has a full schedule of activities planned, including youth rallies, health camps, and leaders’ meetings. Each event will continue to build on the theme of rest and renewal in Christ, providing more opportunities to share the Gospel and engage with the community. The mission team is committed to making a lasting impact in Soroti, inviting more people to experience the comfort and strength that only Christ can provide.

The team is hopeful and excited to see what God will continue to do in the coming days, trusting that many more lives will be touched and transformed by His love.

The focus was on door-to-door ministry, rallies and school outreaches, engaging directly with individuals and communities. The door-to-door ministry saw missioners moving from house to house, sharing the Gospel and connecting with people on a personal level.

In addition to this, two schools—Aloet Primary School and Bethel Girls Comprehensive School—were visited by the Kubamba team, where powerful messages of hope and faith were shared.

As the day drew to a close, a heavy rainstorm began just as the team was preparing to start the scheduled rally. Although the downpour interrupted the event, it was seen as a blessing, as the region had been experiencing a prolonged dry season. While the rally could not take place as planned, the rain brought much-needed relief and renewal, reflecting the mission’s theme of finding rest in Christ
