AE Australia CEO Visits Uganda

Rev. Simba Musvamhiri, the CEO of AE Australasia, and Dr. Peter Slay were in Uganda to witness the impact of AE Australia’s partnership with AEE-U.

The pair visited Milne Medical Centre, where the AEE Uganda team took them on a tour of the facility and later interacted with community groups under the SRAY (Safe and Resilient Adolescents and Youth) Project. In his words, Simba was amazed at what he saw on the grounds.

“My role is helping Christians to engage in God’s work in Africa, and it’s a privilege to be travelling in Kampala Uganda to see our partnership with AEE-U. The partnership that I’m seeing with the local church is amazing. The testimonies from impacted real people living in their communities. People that are not expecting handouts but people that are empowered. New pathways to their lives and families transformed, communities transformed, and really the gospel at the center of all the social action programs”, said Simba.

Simba was also struck by the resilience and

hospitality of the Ugandan people. He saw how their faith in the Lord Jesus was central to their lives, and he was challenged to deepen his own faith.

“I’m challenged myself, so I take away the fact that Ugandans are strong people, and that strength is really coming from the Lord Jesus”, he added.

Dr. Peter was amazed at how the groups he visited were vibrant and hardworking, and how the people were genuinely interested in each other’s well-being.
