Harmony in the House | A Documentary on Parenting & Family Transformation

“Harmony in the House” is a powerful documentary that highlights the impact of The Parenting Challenge—a group-based intervention designed to support and equips parents (or anyone raising a child). This program provides a structured, interactive space where mothers and fathers can openly share experiences, reflect on key parenting topics, and take meaningful action to improve their family dynamics.

Implemented in Terego district by African Evangelistic Enterprise-Uganda with support from Help A Child, this initiative was born from the realization that while self-help groups offering savings and loans helped alleviate poverty, their impact on children’s well-being remained limited. A deeper, more holistic approach was needed.

By addressing the root causes of family struggles, The Parenting Challenge fosters understanding, respect, and shared responsibility between husbands and wives. This, in turn, creates lasting change and restoring relationships, strengthening parenting skills, and ultimately bringing true harmony into the home.
